We offer two clerkship options for fourth year students. The first option is a family medicine clerkship. Activities during this rotation will expose you to the full spectrum of Family Medicine concentrating on ambulatory medicine but also giving you opportunity to refine skills in inpatient adult and pediatric medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and sports medicine. In most cases we can tailor a rotation to your particular interests.
The second clerkship satisfies most schools requirements for an externship or junior internship. On this rotation you will work on our inpatient family medicine service. This will allow you to refine your inpatient skills while taking care of a wide range of medical problems. The rotation requires a minimum of call, and one weekend. During this rotation you will still have an opportunity to work in our outpatient clinic as well.
